Our weekend is casual - pack comfortable clothes & sensible shoes (please consider bringing tennis shoes - some of the activities require closed toed shoes). If you registered for regular accommodations, please be sure to bring bedding and a towel.
You might bring a little extra cash for the Basket Auction, Bake Sale, Pinterest Party, and Offering (not required, but optional). You are welcome to bring/donate a basket or some baked/canned goods for our silent auction and bake sale benefitting missions.
We will be having an Open Mic/Karaoke Night - if you are so inclined to bring a song, talent, or poem to share.
Last but not least, bring a Bible and a friend!
Will masks be mandated?
Right now, we are not currently planning to mandate masks all the time/everywhere as there is not a mask mandate in Hamilton Co (where Covenant Cedars is) currently, however there are places at camp where we are going to strongly encourage them. Should the mask mandate change for the county where Cedars is, we will adapt to those requirements. Because we are encouraging women to stay in their church groups, we want to allow the church group to decide how they want to do life together (mask/no mask) while at the Breathe Gathering in their section in the worship center, at meal times, and in their housing areas.
Are we going to be mixed with other groups, especially in housing areas and during meals?
We will be asking women to primarily stay in their church groups while at Breathe. When in the worship center, we will be spacing out chairs by group size to allow for women from each church/area to primarily interact with one another as well as encouraging church groups to eat together at meal times.
When it comes to housing, we will be putting church groups together. We will strongly encourage masks when we are near one another - like at the coffee bar, in line for meals, etc. Given the size of Covenant Cedars and having many options to spread out - there are areas and options to get your meal and then go outside to eat at a covered picnic area to better avoid being congested in enclosed spaces.
Masks and hand sanitizer will be available everywhere and we will take extra sanitary precautions throughout the weekend to minimize risk.
We recommend that attendees be at least High School age. The content of all our sessions, conversation questions, and other elements of our weekend together are appropriate for this age group. We especially desire to welcome High School Juniors and Seniors to attend as we recognize that they will be transitioning from High School Youth Ministry to Adult Groups. Women Ministries has been and is an incredible group in which they belong and we eagerly seek to be a bridge as they transition groups within the church.
We will have a Welcome Party, A Fun Run/Walk/Crawl/Sleep In, Open Mic Night/Karaoke & Coffee House, Days for Girls Mission Project, Pinterest Party (Crafts – each option will be $10 or less, most will be $5 or less), Nature Hike, Prayer Walk, Climbing Wall/Crate Stacking/Zipline, Hammock Village and more. Closed toed shoes are required for the Climbing Wall, Crate Stacking and Zipline and highly encouraged for the nature hike!
Registration Information: Breathe Gathering registrations are transferable, not refundable. In the event that you are not able to attend, you are encouraged to find someone to take over your registration. In the event unlikely event that Covid would cancel our event this year, we will give you the option of receiving a refund or to carry your registration forward to our 2022 event with no price difference should the next years price increase.
Housing assignments will be made by the Breathe Gathering Team. Deluxe accommodations will be filled on a first come first serve basis by church group.
We ask that you would not attend the Breathe Gathering if you:
